Nope. My store wouldn’t let me do it. Had to buy 2 bags of chips (try the new blue corn if they have!) and 4 jars of sauce in order to get the $1 off and the free jar. So really, I guess I got 4 jars for the price of 1, need to look at my receipt and verify.
FYI – got the Publix Promise yesterday on the Folgers gourment coffee, Java Bold said $4.99 on shelf, while all others said $5.99. Rang up as $5.99 and had to get the little tag, got it for $4.99, used my $1 off and got another bag for free. Just a heads up because I don’t know what their internal system is for stuff like that … Ive gone a week later with the same thing happening, it wasn’t fixed yet.
My store is starting to limit the number of competitor Q’s they will take. They are trying to say that you can only use ONE comp. Q per like item. They even tried to stop me from using 5 Healthy Choice Publix Q’s the other day. I can tell…things are going to be changing with Q’s soon.
What is “True” BOGO??
I think “true” BOGO refers to the Florida stores and some near the GA/FL border. In Georgia our BOGO items ring up at half price so you really only have to buy one. In Florida the BOGO items ring up full price for the first item and the second one rings up free. Makes a difference when figuring out coupons. Hope this helps!!!
I think that some people still are forgetting about the Rite Aid MQs. I printed Tostitos coupons (which states can be used on the chips or the dips) which were $1 off. I got each jar or salsa for 64 cents adn the chips for $2 each. Should have used the Target Qs too! Darn!
