Are you guys ready for another GREAT feature here on I Heart Publix?
You guys know that I am in metro Atlanta— but have heard from lots of you Florida folks about the fantastic coupons available at Albertson’s that many of your Publix stores accept as a competitor. I use the Albertson’s coupons in the Tampa Bay (FL) area and it’s always a great deal on meat each week!
I didn’t know that they would accept those Q’s until yesterday!! I happened to be in the meat dept. when another woman had one in her hand and was talking with the butcher. I waited and asked her and they both said “YES”. WOWZERS!!! LOVE IT!! I HAVE to buy a deep freeze now!
where do I find this coupons to print … I am new at this coupon thing and would love to use the albertsons coupons
The Albertson’s coupons come in the mail on Tuesdays or Wednesdays with the Redplum direct mail. They can also be found at Albertson’s stores, but I don’t know of a way to print them out. I just went to Publix tonight and got the pork steaks (it says steaks, not shank, on the coupon) and the boneless pork loins both buy1get2free. On just those two things, I saved $30!
I live in the Orlando area and we get Albertsons coupons every Wednesday in their ad in the Orlando Sentinel. Same day that we get our Publix and Winn Dixie ads. Great for meat but you have to make sure it is EXACTLY the same cut. I’ve had the butcher at Publix tell me that some of the cuts of meat are something only Albertsons does. I still have ribs and pork loin in the freezer but going to go get more this week. By the way…quality of Publix meat is so much better!!
Kellogg’s cereal ( 4 types) are 1.48 this week. I plan to price match at Walmart and use the $5/4 Kellogg’s,to make my cereal $1 for all 4.
or for that matter, price match at Target.
I find Publix’s prices on meat are lower, too, so the item you pay for in the B1G1 for meat, or even better, B1G2 (!) is less than what Albertson’s charges. FYI, I noticed the sales paper in my Albertson’s did not have the -$5/$50 coupon and asked about it and was told it is only in the ads that you request to be mailed to your home. I receive one in the mail now to get that. Do any of you get this particular coupon in the Albertson’s ad in the newspaper on Tue. or Wed.?
Ok, I just visited Big Fat Piggy Bank and see she says the same thing about needing to have the flyer mailed to your home.
I don’t subscribe to the local newspaper (Florida Today in Melbourne), but I do still get the Albertson’s ad. Every week, the local newspaper will deliever a local paper to non-subscribers that has a handful of flyers in it. Most newspapers have a product like this to offer to their advertisers so that they can get total market coverage for their advertising. Make sure to check that little newspaper because there is an Albertson’s circular in it each week. Ours shows up in our driveway every Thursday.
I have been using the $5/$50 coupon but did not know that Publix also accepted the meat coupons. I will definitely have to try that!
Here is Gainesville, Florida the Publix stores WILL NOT accept the b1g2 meat coupons. They will only accept the $5 on $50 if the Albertsons is within 5 miles of the Publix store. We have some very “picky” managers.
My Publix only allows the $5 off $50, if you spend $50 AFTER coupons! That’s a change. Also, some stores will call Albertsons to get their meat prices and then charge you that price per pount. (Of course Albertson’s meat is going to cost more or they’d go broke with B1G2 🙂
