I am just tickled pink and so grateful to you all! You guys have done such a good job passing on my site that I am having to move my sites to a new dedicated server. Apparently the traffic levels are causing too many issues on my current shared server…so if anyone has a recommendation for a new web hosting site- I am all ears 🙂

I also tell everyone who asks me how I save so much money on my groceries about you. The teacher that I am substitute teaching (Pre-Algebra & Algebra I) for this week will be checking out the site with his wife. He was impressed with my savings. I used my example of my Publix receipts to teach the concept of percent of change to demonstrate my percentage of savings each week. You have to bring real life examples to the students to gain their interest.
And you were also mentioned in Boca Magazine this month 🙂

I reference your site quite a bit, but I am curious as to how you are able to post the deals on Monday (two days prior to the sale beginning)? I have been told by other coupon saving moms that this is actually illegal to do, and eventually you may be contacted by lawyers of publix and your site may be shut down due to this. Do you have permission to leak them early? I strive to coupon with the most upmost integrity and honesty and do not want to abuse their kindness on couponing by using information that was not lawfully given to me. Please know that I am not accusing you of anything, I have just heard some things and would like some clarification on how the ads are able to be on your site so early.
I talk about your site all of the time! In fact, I wish you had business cards that I could give out to people whenever I’m in Publix. When I went to Publix last week and saved $120, the woman behind me asked how I did it and I told her about this site. You’ll be famous in no time!

There is nothing illegal about how I get the ad–I use my time to type it up. I am afraid that if you avoided sites that give sneak peeks you would have to avoid most every money saving site out there. Many store ads are available to preview weeks- often months ahead of time. Most all of the sites I am aware of post peeks of deals prior to them being available. Is it correct to post sneak peeks of Publix, CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Food Lion? For me–since I get access to all of these ads legally I choose to post it on my sites. It is up to each person to decide whether they want to look at the previews. If others sites choose not to post deal previews that is their prerogative but it my opinion it is an all or none situation. If posting a Publix ad is improper then so is posting a CVS ad! Ultimately it is up to the reader to decide their comfort level. I hope that helps 🙂

Please know that I am not accusing you of anything, just curious and not wanting your site to be a site that gets one of those lawyer letters. You work hard on this blog and post many great offers – I don’t you to be shut down.
Oh I am not offended 🙂 And again I stick by my statement–it should be all or none in posting previews. If her argument is that ads are copyrighted materials then ALL ads are copyrighted materials and a response of “not sure why” is not a valid reason posting one over the other is valid–That sounds more like justification of actions to me 🙂
For what it’s worth, Michelle, it doesn’t matter to me whether you post it on Monday or Wednesday (although it is the highlight of my Monday at work!) It’s not like any of us can get the ad and run to Publix. We all have to wait until Wednesday to go and work Michelle’s magic. Besides, the stores set these ads weeks in advance. If Bilo knows the Publix sales Monday afternoon, so what? It’s not likely that their corporate is going to make drastic changes in two days. It seems silly to think that the stores would share their ads early with only a select few. What would they gain from that? Michelle is obviously getting the ad early for a reason, people! Michelle is giving Publix MAJOR traffic. I’m pretty confident that Publix corporate is thrilled with the business that she generates. I’m also fairly confident that they know how much business that they could lose. Keep it up, Michelle! My husband thanks you!
I want to give you a BIG THANK YOU for your help in saving my family money, that we really don’t have. My daughter actually found your site and told me about it. Now, I’m hooked. I hardly look at any other site. You have everything I need. As far as advanced peek at the ad. You really don’t have the ad up like some other sites do. From what I see, you look at the ad yourself, and type up all of the deals with matchups yourself. I don’t see any copyright infringement. Maybe I’m wrong. But, I think Publix needs to give you a “Thank you” too for all of the people who are now shopping at their store, who didn’t before, like me.
